Senior Research Assistant/ Research Assistant I/II in the Sau Po Centre on Ageing within the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref. 201601114) (to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary term, or on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)

 

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or above in Social Sciences, Sociology, Statistics or related disciplines; a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; comprehensive knowledge of quantitative and qualitative analysis; and good knowledge of the local elderly service setting. Those with experience of fieldwork data collection from elder people and caregivers, and at least one year's of post-qualification work experience in gerontology or related research projects are preferred. The appointee will be responsible for literature review; data collection and analysis; preparation of presentations, manuscripts and reports; and other research-related duties as assigned by the investigators. Those with more supervisory and management experience in research projects may be considered for the post of Senior Research Assistant; and those with more research experience and stronger academic background might be considered for the post of Research Assistant I.

 

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
