Position


Description


Yale-NUS College, a collaboration between the National University of Singapore and
Yale University, seeks to appoint an accomplished scholar to assume a senior role in
the Urban Studies major, at the level of Associate or Full Professor. Applicants should
be internationally recognised scholars with an active research profile and a
commitment to creative and effective undergraduate teaching and mentoring.


Applicants may have a specialisation in any relevant discipline, although the analysis
of urban processes should be a central concern in their research and teaching. An
interest in Asian urbanism or cities in a comparative perspective is desirable.


The incoming faculty member would join a committed team dedicated to the
development and teaching of the Urban Studies Major (https://urbanstudies.yalenus.edu.sg/)
and the Yale-NUS Common Curriculum (https://www.yalenus.edu.sg/curriculum/common-curriculum/).

 

The position will be a tenured appointment in Urban Studies, which sits within the
Division of Social Sciences. The appointee will be expected to begin their duties in
time for the start of the 2018/2019 academic year. Salary, benefits, and leave policies
