Professorship for Sustainable Transport Logistics with a Focus on Physical Internet

 

("Physical Internet") in accordance with § 98 UG 2002 at the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences at the Johannes Kepler University of Linz

 

At the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz is now available

 

(A) full professor of sustainable transport logistics with a focus on "Physical Internet" in the form of a permanent employee relationship (full-time). The post will support the establishment and expansion of a research center "Physical Internet" at the Johannes Kepler University and will represent this topic in research and teaching in all its sub-areas. The focus of the research activities will be the future-oriented design of logistical flows of goods based on the use of the Physical Internet to achieve sustainable, positive economic, ecological and societal-relevant effects. Accordingly, logistical as well as informal research topics must be worked on equally in both application-oriented and basic research. In the field of teaching, the establishment of a new center of study is expected in consultation with the already existing courses offered by Johannes Kepler University. Furthermore, the willingness to take over administrative tasks of university self-administration and participation in academic bodies are expected.

 

(B) experience in basic research with a focus on logistics and / or computer science, (c) experience in academic teaching at all levels, (D) an international standard of proof of publication and scientific lectures, (e) a reference to practice, demonstrated by completed and ongoing projects in cooperation with companies, (f) experience in the acquisition of third-party funds and (g) international experience and networking. In addition to the key qualifications cited as application requirements, particular attention is paid to the aspect of social competence.

The gross salary is 90,000 to 110,000 euros. The actual gross salary is the responsibility of the Rector.
