Research Fellow for the ‘Career and Life Adventure Planning for Youths' project Hong Kong Baptist University, Department of Social Work

DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WORK

 

The Department of Social Work invites applications for the following post for the ‘Career and Life Adventure Planning for Youths' project. This Project targets youths aged 15 to 21, including upper secondary school students and out-of-school youths (e.g. non-engaged youths, at-risk youths, early dropouts, etc.) Through a combination of school programmes, community-based services and a tailor-made e-platform, the Project aims to build an effective, holistic and sustainable career and life planning model in helping our youth pursue their life and career goals.

 

Research Fellow (PR380-2/16-17)

 

The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator (Community) and the Professional Consultant to conduct research work relevant to achieving the objectives of the Project.

 

Applicants should possess a PhD degree in social sciences or a related discipline. Preference will be given to those with track record of publications, strong research skills and relevant experience in youth work or human services, and who are knowledgeable of international perspectives on career and life planning. They should be able to work independently and as a member of the team.

 

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two to three years commencing September 2017 or the soonest possible. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
