The BUESA laboratory (Building and Urban Environmental Science in Asia) in Graduate School for
International Development and Cooperation (IDEC), Hiroshima University, now seeks a
Post-Doctoral Research Fellow to work in our international joint research projects conducted in
Southeast Asia, such as the research project on energy-saving houses and thermal comfort in the
tropics, etc.

3. Job details


 Analysis of the results from field surveys conducted in Southeast Asia. In particular, the
analyses include a statistical analysis, numerical simulations of thermal environments
including CFD, etc.


 Write international journal papers.


 Some administration works for the laboratory.

From 20 October 2017 or later (at the earliest possible)


5. Employment period


Up to 31 March 2020 (The contract can be renewed annually based on the job achievements. Note
that those who have an experience of working in Hiroshima University cannot be employed more
than five years in total including this employment.)


6. Qualifications


 PhD or Doctoral degree or those who will obtain one of these degrees before the start of
employment.


 Those who have research experiences using numerical simulations including CFD in the field
of building science are particularly applicable for this position.


7. Compensation


 Salary and working conditions are determined by the regulation of Hiroshima University.


 Employment status is full-time staff (non-tenured).
