Job Description

The Department of Sociology announces the opening of a tenured faculty position in Sociology. The Department is looking to hire a professor to facilitate classes and to conduct research on the current challenges of development. This candidate will also be called upon to contribute to the general teaching activities in Sociology at the undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels.

 

The successful candidate will be hired by Laval University in a tenured professorship position.



Selection criterias

 

  • Successfully Completed Phd in Sociology or in a relevant discipline;
  • Ability to teach Sociology;
  • Ability to supervise Sociology students;
  • Publications and achievements of research on current development issues;
  • University teaching experience will be considered an asset;
  • Ability to teach in French;

Salary according to the current collective agreement.
