Job Description
The Department of Sociology announces the opening of a position of regular professor or regular professor in sociology. The department is looking for a professor to teach and research on current development issues. This person will also be called upon to contribute to general sociology courses at the three cycles.


The successful candidate will be integrated or integrated into Université Laval as a professor or professor on a regular position from the date of his / her appointment.

Selection criteria


  • PhD completed in sociology or a relevant discipline;
  • Ability to teach in sociology;
  • Ability to supervise students in sociological research;
  • Quality of the record of publications and achievements in research on current development issues;
  • Desirable university teaching experience;
  • Ability to teach in French.

Commitment and salary
Salary according to the collective agreement in force.
