Senior Research Assistant/Research Assistant in the Department of Applied Social Sciences (Appointment for 12 months with possibility of extension) [Ref. C/R/113/09]



Use of Storytelling to enhance the Teaching and Learning of Human Behaviour and Social Environment/Diversity
Rediscovering Wisdom in Older Adulthood: A Randomized Wait List Control Trial of a Specific Narrative Therapy in Group Practice



Perform quantitative/qualitative data analysis, prepare and update related documentation (including literature reviews, article writing, and work progress reports), and perform any other duties as assigned.



A good honours degree in Social Sciences or related disciplines with research experience. Demonstrated ability to carry out research independently, proficiency in quantitative analysis, good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, good interpersonal skills, computer knowledge, strong organizational skills, ability to work independently and with a team are required. Candidates with experience in SPSS and/or Nvivo or related software are preferred.


Candidates with a Master’s degree and 1 year’s post-qualification working experience may be considered for appointment as Senior Research Assistant.

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
