Work­ing field:


The pos­i­tion involves organ­iz­a­tional tasks related to the advance­ment of the­ory and meth­od­o­logy in innov­a­tion research. The holder is fur­ther to pur­sue a research pro­ject (postdoc) of her or his own related to the topic of the research train­ing group (RTG) for the pur­pose of habil­it­a­tion or oth­er­wise acquir­ing the qual­i­fic­a­tion neces­sary for appoint­ment to a ten­ured pro­fess­or­ship; par­ti­cip­ate in design­ing and imple­ment­ing the research train­ing group’s study pro­gram; con­duct sem­inars as part of the elect­ive pro­gram; sup­port and mentor the RTG’s doc­toral can­did­ates; par­ti­cip­ate in devel­op­ing an “innov­a­tion soci­ety” work­ing group to advance the innov­a­tion soci­ety thesis; par­ti­cip­ate in integ­rat­ing the RTG’s vari­ous activ­it­ies and pro­jects and coordin­at­ing the “Innov­a­tion Soci­ety” work­ing group; and assist in mat­ters related to qual­ity assur­ance and eval­u­ation of the RTG.


Require­ments:


The applic­ant is required to have suc­cess­fully com­pleted doc­toral stud­ies in soci­ology or another social sci­ence with a dis­ser­ta­tion related to the topic of the RTG; a pro­nounced interest that is reflec­ted in pre­vi­ous pub­lic­a­tions; exper­i­ence in inter­dis­cip­lin­ary col­lab­or­a­tion and uni­versity-level teach­ing; excel­lent know­ledge of the the­or­et­ical and meth­od­o­lo­gical found­a­tions of innov­a­tion research; and pro­fi­ciency in Ger­man.
