Research Associate at the Department of Political Science

to occupy. The regular working hours are currently 19 hours 55 minutes a week. The remuneration is based on TV-L E 13. The position is initially limited to three years, with the possibility of an extension of two years.

Main tasks

The tasks of the job holder include supporting the professorship in research and teaching in the fields of international politics and global governance. The teaching commitment is 2 semester hours per week.

The willingness to work in a subject area of the professorship is required.


  • Graduated in Social Sciences with very good grades, qualifying for a doctorate in Political Science
  • In-depth knowledge of approaches and theories in the field of international relations / politics and governance research
  • Thematic research interest on questions of politics and (moral) responsibility on an international level, such as the responsibility of companies in development policy areas, political responsibility of international organizations and / or non-governmental organizations in matters of security or environmental policy etc. (these topics are to be understood as examples )
  • Sound methodological knowledge (qualitative and / or quantitative)
  • Very good German and English skills
