DESCRIPTION The Department of Economics at the University of California, Berkeley seeks applications at the associate and full professor rank (100% time), with an expected start date of July 1, 2019. The field is economic theory. Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience. The Department is interested in candidates who will contribute to diversity and equal opportunity in higher education through their teaching, research, and service.

Associate and Full Professor Applicants (with tenure): Basic Qualifications Required: A Ph.D. (or equivalent international degree) in Economics completed at the time of application.
Preferred Qualifications: The ideal candidate will be an economist focusing on research in economic theory and have an outstanding track record of publications in top-ranked economics journals. S/he will also have demonstrated the ability to elaborate the implications of their research and findings from their field of specialization, for undergraduates and Ph.D. students in economics.
