DESCRIPTION

The Economics Department at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for a position in macroeconomics and international finance at the tenured Associate or Full Professor level. Applicants should have an established track record of research and teaching experience in macroeconomics and international finance. 


The Economics Department has a Ph.D. program, a professional Master’s program, and several undergraduate programs. The successful candidate will be expected to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate level; advise and mentor graduate and undergraduate students; contribute to graduate education, the research environment of the department, and to university and professional service. The successful candidate must be able to work with students, faculty and staff from a wide range of social and cultural backgrounds. ACADEMIC TITLE
Associate Professor or Full Professor with tenure; academic year (9-month) basis

 

SALARY
Commensurate with qualifications and experience; academic year (nine-month basis).

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Ph.D. (or equivalent foreign degree) in Economics or related field; demonstrated research record in macroeconomics and/or international finance; a demonstrated record of teaching; and a demonstrated record of university or professional service.

 

POSITION AVAILABLE
July 1, 2019, with the academic year beginning in September 2019.
