The Opportunity

Turning Point conducts extensive research, investigating alcohol and drug-related harm in the community, as well as developing the most effective policy and treatment responses. Your objective in this role as Senior Research Fellow is to drive research in the addiction treatment area, by managing existing and future research studies related to clinical trials of innovative treatment approaches and studies aimed at improving help-seeking, early intervention and recovery outcomes for individuals and families affected by alcohol, drugs and/or gambling.

 

The objective of this position is to lead the development of clinical and social research across Turning Point, including coordination of clinical trials and service enhancements, as well as contributing to addiction and mental health teaching and research across Monash University.

 

This role involves leadership in the strategic development of grants and projects, working with a multidisciplinary team of researchers undertaking multiple clinical research projects. Such leadership will contribute to a program of work involving innovative approaches to addressing alcohol, drug and gambling related harms.

 

Integral to this position is the development and maintenance of positive working relationships with government and other key stakeholders across health and other sectors, as well as active collaboration with internal and external researchers.
