Department policy requires instructors to create and maintain a bCourses (Canvas) site. Areas of particular current interest are:
Instructors of Record duties include teaching, holding office hours, assigning grades, advising students, preparing course materials (e.g. syllabus), developing exams and/or quizzes, supervising GSIs, and maintaining a course website. Lecturer in-lieu-of-GSI’s duties entail leading discussion sections, field trips, labs, or instruction of prescribed course content, under the active direction and supervision of the instructor of record who has final responsibility for the course’s entire instruction. Other course support duties may include, but are not limited to, holding office hours, grading, and participation in the development of quizzes. You must be eligible to work in the United States. The department is interested in candidates who will contribute to the diversity and equal opportunity in higher education through their teaching, and service. The department is also interested in individuals who may have had non-traditional career paths or who may have taken time off for family reasons (e.g., children, disabled, or elderly), or who have achieved excellence in careers outside academia (e.g., in professional or industry service).
