Research Assistant (m / f / d) is available on July 1, 2019


with 50% of the regular weekly working hours (19.8 hours / week) to be occupied for a limited period of three years (with the option of renewal for another three years). The pay is based on the fee group 13 TV-L.


Your tasks
• Participation in the research activities of the department "Social Sciences Religious Studies"
• Teaching in the amount of 2 SWS (corresponds to 1 course) in the BA and MA degree program "Religious Studies"
• Assumption of tasks in the self-government and the organization of the work area
• Own scientific qualification (PhD or postdoc)


Your profile
• Completed academic studies at MA level in religious studies, sociology or a related subject with above-average degree
• Strong interest in a topic that to the work area of Prof. Dr. med. Nagel is fit for inclusion (esp. Religion and migration, religious pluralization and religious contact, religious communities and social services)
• good knowledge of applied empirical religious research (qualitative or quantitative)
• Ability to work independently, communication and cooperation skills in a project team and organizational skills
• Very good knowledge of German and English (written and spoken)
• are desired skills relevant source languages (eg Arabic / Turkish) or knowledge in the field of science communication
