Your new team

The School of Occupational Therapy, Social Work and Speech Pathology offers internationally accredited undergraduate and entry-level Masters programs as well as providing innovative and dynamic leadership to the profession.
The research area provides administrative and academic support to the school’s research activities and to higher degree by research (MPhil and PhD) and Honours students. The overall research program aims to initiate and support research that makes a positive contribution to the lives of vulnerable people, their families, and the wider community. We aim to:

Your new role

We have a unique full time or part time opportunity, for an Allied Health professional with strong clinical skills to join Professor Catherine Elliott’s internationally recognised research team, and transform the lives of children with neurodevelopmental disabilities and their community through integrated clinical research and knowledge translation.
You will be responsible for:
Developing a coherent program of research, education and training;
Applying for funding to support key research and knowledge translation projects in the area of neurodevelopmental disabilities;
Disseminating research findings through peer review journals, and presenting at national and international conferences
Supervising research honours, masters and postdoctoral students;
Participating in the delivery of research led educational programs within the School.
Aspiring to be recognized nationally for research in the field.
Providing leadership and fostering and promoting relationships with Health Strides and the community.
You will bring to the role
A doctoral qualification in Allied Health
Substantial clinical experience in the area of neurodevelopmental disability Evidence of a record of quality research and impact outputs/creative works in relevant high quality refereed journals/outlets and using other knowledge translation strategies.
Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to supervise HDR students
A history of successful competitive grant applications.
Experience of working well with a multi-disciplinary team.
