Research Fellow in Transport-Health Interactions (New and Emerging Data)

Do you have experience in working with high-resolution transport, travel or location data? Do you have experience in Agent Based Modelling, interfaces between data at different scale and established models such as system dynamics, network models, population health models or similar? Do you have a background in population health, transport, human geography or equivalent field? Would you be interested to research across disciplines to improve understanding of the health and wider impacts from travel mode change?

The Alan Turing Institute funded KARMA project has an opportunity for a researcher to join the team, helping deliver novel methodological and applied research at the interfaces of transport policy, mobility choices and health.

The work area you will focus on aims to bridge the methodological interfaces between micro-level data, agent based modelling, aggregate survey data (such as census data) and system dynamics models. The research draws on health, travel choice and contextual data.

Based at the Institute for Transport Studies, University of Leeds, you will work with existing data derived from new digital technologies, assemble related aggregate data sources, and develop interfaces with models. You will be concerned with the particular opportunity provided by new data forms and use appropriate statistical approaches to generate insights with policy implications.
