Description

 

The Department of Sociology seeks instructors for lecturer positions, pending administrative approval and funding, for the academic year 2019-2020. Positions are available for the following quarters:

 

Fall Quarter 2019 September 23 – December 13

 

Winter Quarter 2020 January 3 – March 20

 

Spring Quarter 2020 March 26 – June 11

 

Demonstrated experience in teaching, and advanced degree in Sociology or related discipline is required. We will prioritize recent and current graduate students who have worked closely with the Sociology program at Davis.

Current Unit 18 lecturers need not reapply to be considered for reappointment. Current lecturers should contact Chair Ryken Grattet to request consideration for reappointment; they will then be assessed according to the current department guidelines. Chair Grattet will recommend appointments to the Associate Dean of the Faculty in the Social Sciences, who makes the final decision. All appointments are contingent upon funding availability.
