The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) School of Social Work is a freestanding unit renowned for its achievements in research, teaching, and community engagement. The School is committed to developing and disseminating knowledge for practice, developing responsive social welfare programs, and promoting social and economic justice. Our BSW and MSW degree programs prepare students for social work practice in public and private agencies, in the areas of mental health, health care, children and family services, public school settings, and leadership and social change, and students will gain knowledge and skills to work with disempowered communities in these areas. The School of Social Work is accepting applications for adjunct faculty to teach BSW and MSW courses in a range of curricular areas, including but not limited to: social work practice (direct and macro); specialized clinical assessment and interventions (e.g., in the areas of trauma-informed practice, substance use disorders, integrated health care, Schools, child welfare, telehealth); field practicum and professional development; social work policies and services; social work and the law; clinical research; program evaluation; and human behavior in social environment. Courses may be scheduled in-person on campus, hybrid, or fully online. Adjunct faculty will be considered for teaching opportunities starting Fall 2022.
