Assistant professor in Law

Would you like to pursue an academic career in an interdisciplinary environment?

A position as assistant professor in law is available at the Department of Food and Resource Economics with a particular view to further development of research and teaching within EU Law, environmental law, food law and administrative law. The law group at the Section for Consumption, Bioethics and Governance is responsible for teaching law courses at the Faculty of Science to non-law students. The law group conducts research in topics of particular relevance for the Faculty, e.g. environmental law, food law and EU law. You will be part of a well-functioning team and be able to develop your academic and personal skills in an interdisciplinary context challenged by active students and colleagues. Furthermore, establishment and maintenance of contacts and networks both within and outside academia is encouraged.

Applicants must have an academic degree within law as well as documented scientific qualifications such as a Ph.D. or equivalent in relation to the above subject area. Qualifications within one or more of the following scientific areas are required: EU law, administrative law, environmental law, food law or other relevant areas of law.

The assistant professor’s duties will primarily include research, including obligations with regard to publication/scientific communication and research-based teaching with associated examination obligations within law. To a limited extent this may also include performance of other duties. Language skills in English as well as Danish are needed as teaching is in both English and Danish.

The position is open from 1 January 2020 or as soon as possible thereafter. The position is limited to 4 years.
