Assistant Professor of Political Science University of Queensland Australia
Closing Date: 11 January 2026 at 11:59 PM AEST
About This Opportunity
This is a call for applicants for Casual Academics in the School of Political Science and International Studies in support of our course offerings in Semester 1, 2026.
Casual Academics will typically be engaged in a range of duties, including (but not limited to) tutoring, marking, teaching, and moderating/facilitating. Casual Academics are remunerated according to the category of their duties, as detailed in UQ’s Enterprise Agreement.
Applicants should review the list of POLS courses, plus one PPES course, which are likely to need tutors. Please indicate a maximum of six courses you are interested in teaching into. Although you will be asked to state why you have picked a course, your response is optional.
NB: Tutoring opportunities are reliant on course enrolment numbers, and some courses at postgraduate level may not attract sufficient enrolments to require a tutor.
Please note that these opportunities are subject to The University’s Code of Conduct.
What We Can Offer
