Requirements and Qualifications Candidates must: Hold a PhD in Political Science or a related discipline by the time of appointment, or shortly thereafter. Demonstrate a record of excellence in research and teaching. Have research and teaching interests that contribute to the theoretical and empirical understanding of Canadian Politics or Canada in a comparative perspective. Be open to a variety of theoretical and methodological approaches. Demonstrate research and teaching interests that complement and strengthen the Department's existing expertise. Be prepared to teach undergraduate and graduate courses on the University of Toronto's St. George (Downtown Toronto) campus. Review the research and teaching profiles of current faculty members to understand existing departmental strengths. Evidence of Excellence in Research Candidates must provide evidence of research excellence demonstrated through: Publications in top-ranked and field-relevant journals.
