Position Summary

The Departments of Economics and Political Science invite applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professorship in Political Economy. The successful candidate will:

  • Teach and supervise students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels

  • Deliver high-quality research in political economy with publications in leading journals

  • Contribute to interdisciplinary curriculum development and innovative module design

  • Serve as Director of the PPES Programme, providing leadership in curriculum, program management, and strategic planning

  • Participate in academic administration, including committees, quality assurance, and other governance activities

Post Status: 5-Year Fixed-Term Tenure-Track
Salary: €42,925 – €102,556 per annum (link)
Hours of Work: As prescribed under Public Service Agreements (link)


Candidate Requirements

  • PhD in Political Economy, Economics, Political Science, or a closely related discipline

  • Demonstrated research excellence and strong publication record

  • Vision, enthusiasm, and commitment to excellence in both research and teaching

  • Creativity and innovation in curriculum and module design
