  • Travel at least twice yearly to each community to meet with clerkship directors, students, and campus administration to deliver news, problem-solve, and gather information about successes and areas for development in our programs
  • Liaison with community partners to optimize student opportunities and experiences and to collaborate on clinical placement strategies
  • Lead the development and administration of new campuses and campuses in transition
  • Partner with community campuses to support and promote faculty recruitment and retention
  • Provide leadership, expertise, and stakeholder support to resolve challenges and maximize opportunities inherent to a community-based medical school through engagement with appropriate governance and operational committees including Curriculum Committee, Academic Affairs meetings, Community Assistant Dean meetings, Physicianship Committee, academic review, college events and other ad hoc meetings as required

  • Collaborate with department chairs and CADs to resolve issues on community faculty rank and promotion
  • Perform fact-finding in instances of potential critical deficiencies in professionalism
  • Provide oversight to certificate directors as needed to optimize quality and discuss changes in the program and/or the impact of curricular changes on the program
