As AI technologies continue to advance at a rapid pace, we believe it is essential to harness these powerful tools to deepen our understanding of the past and revolutionize the way we study and teach history. This groundbreaking role will be at the forefront of applying AI methodologies to unlock new insights from historical data, enabling us to ask and answer questions that were previously beyond the scope of traditional research methods, and at C2DH you will have a perfect environment in which to experiment and build.
As Professor of AI and History at C2DH you will be responsible for developing and leading an innovative research program that leverages AI technologies to push the boundaries of historical inquiry. You will apply machine learning, natural language processing, and other AI techniques to vast historical, multimodal datasets.
