Head of Department for Anthropology University of Copenhagen

The Department of Anthropology conducts international-level research and education from BA to PhD level and is an integrated part of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Copenhagen. The Department has a staff of approx. 40 and around 550 students.

You will be able to set the strategic direction for the Department, and we expect you to support and fortify our strong position within research, education and communication. The Department provides international, high-level graduates and research. You will be part of the Faculty Management Team and responsible for the running and development of the Department.

You are motivated by personnel management and by a desire to provide staff and students with a good working and study environment. You are a renowned researcher within anthropology or related field and have insight into the educational sector. Among other things, we expect you to be a talented leader and to take a strategic, committed and involving approach to the development of the Department’s working, study and research environments. Your leadership style should be appreciative and stimulating.
