About This OpportunityIn collaboration with the Centre for Western Civilisation, the School of Communication and Arts at the University of Queensland seeks to appoint an exceptional scholar as Lecturer (Level B) or Senior Lecturer (Level C) in Art History. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vibrant, interdisciplinary program focused on the foundational texts, ideas, art, and music that have shaped Western thought. The Centre for Western Civilisation aims to explore and critically evaluate the significance of the “great books” tradition and its continuing relevance. The appointee will deliver and coordinate art-historical content across the program, including a survey course on the history of Western art, and collaborate with colleagues to integrate art-historical perspectives across related courses.
