Position Description

The Department of the History of Science at Harvard University seeks applications for one temporary lecturer on the history of science. Specific areas of teaching are (1) Bio-Technology (2) Race and Science and (3) Science and Technology Studies. The position will be held full-time.

The position is for one year with a start date of July 1, 2021 and an end date of June 30, 2022.

Basic Qualifications

Doctorate in history of science or closely related field is required by the time the appointment begins.

Additional Qualifications

Evidence of excellence in undergraduate teaching is desired.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, following CDC, Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and Harvard University guidelines, FAS intends to provide in-person instruction this fall. Teachers are required to reside in the larger New England area and to also be comfortable with hybrid and/or online modes of instruction.
