Posting Summary
The Innovation Lab at the Honors College, Rutgers – New Brunswick is dedicated to nurturing and implementing social innovation projects developed in the Honors College Forum. This position will serve as PTL/ instructor of record for the Innovation Lab. The three-credit course provides project teams opportunities to develop and launch their initiatives with the support of faculty and public/private innovation leaders.

Under the guidance of the Director of Innovation, the instructor will be responsible for designing and delivering the content of the class, including assessing and grading students’ performance in accordance with University policies and in keeping with the aims of the course. They will hold regular office hours each week in the Honors College. They will also work as an Executive Innovation Fellow (EIF) and support the Director of Innovation by bringing increased and complementary resources of real-world practical experience to the Innovation Lab Program to help advance the learning experience as well as progress of student teams as they pursue their ideas and social innovation ventures.

Qualifications

 

Minimum Education and Experience
Must hold at least a BA; MA (or MBA) in related field OR at least 10+ years of experience in the entrepreneurial and/or social innovation field.

Excellent public presentation skills; deep knowledge of entrepreneurship; demonstrated commitment to addressing social issues (e.g, work with non-profits)

Immunization Requirements

 

Under Policy 60.1.35 Immunization Policy for Rutgers Employees and Prospective Employees, Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to receive an updated (bivalent) vaccine dose. Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
