Position description

The Department of Sociology at UCLA invites applications for part-time lecturers to teach during the 2022-2023 academic year. Part-time positions may be available for the following courses:

SOC M115: Environmental Sociology
SOC 121: Sociology of Religion
SOC 131: Careers in Sociology
SOC 132: Social Psychology: Sociological Approaches
SOC 134: Culture & Personality
SOC 145: Soc of Deviant Behavior
SOC 147A: Sociology of Crime
SOC 156: Race & Ethnicity
SOC 158: Urban Sociology
SOC 171: Occupations and Professions
SOC 172: Entrepreneurship
SOC M174: Sociology of the Family
SOC M175: Sociology of Education
SOC M176: Sociology of Mass Communication
SOC 180A: Politics of Reproduction
SOC 182: Political Sociology
SOC 185: American Society

Submitted applications will be kept on file. A PhD in sociology or another social science, excellent teaching, communication and interpersonal skills are required. Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

Ph.D. in Sociology or closely related field by date of hire.
