This is a new position, which is being established as part of an expansion of research and teaching on the Anthropocene and Climate Change in the Department, and across the Faculty of Social and Historical Sciences more broadly.

The Department encourages applications from physical geographers, environmental scientists or geoscientists who have expertise in climate or environmental change, and their impacts in the Anthropocene.

The post is being advertised in conjunction with an additional Lectureship/Associate Professorship in Environment, Politics and Society, and we particularly welcome applicants for this physical geography position who have interest in interdisciplinary collaboration with researchers in the social sciences and humanities. Both posts are intended to directly  support our Masters programmes in Climate Change, Environmental Modelling and Environment, and Politics and Society.
