Within the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences, the discipline of Communication Science offers a range of Bachelor's and Master’s degree programmes in the field of Communication Science. The teaching and research in our Communication Science programmes is interdisciplinary and internationally oriented, offering tracks taught in both English and Dutch. What will you be doing?

 

    You will teach courses in the Dutch and/or English language track of the bachelor program and/or premaster program of communication science.

What do we require of you?

 

You have:

 

    a degree in communication science or other relevant social/behavioural science;

    teaching experience, and ability to teach diverse courses in the bachelor, flexability to teach in Dutch and/or English;

    the ability to be a team player and ‘academic citizenship’ qualities.

Appointment

 

The position concerns a temporary appointment of 15,2 to 30,4 hours per week for a term of one academic year. If the candidate proves suitable, barring unforeseen organisational developments and assuming sufficient FTE availability, we intend to extend the term of employment.

 

Salary depends on past education and relevant work experience, with a minimum salary of €2,709 and a maximum salary of €3,389 gross per month based on a full-time appointment for a 38-hour working week (in keeping with scale 10, as per the Collective Labour Agreement of Dutch Universities). We additionally offer an extensive package of secondary employee benefits, including a generous holiday scheme and year-end bonus. The department also offers an introductory coaching for inexperienced teachers, and a course English for teachers.
