Lectureship in Social Policy (The University of Edinburgh - College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences)

Social Policy We are seeking outstanding candidates who will further the School’s reputation in the field of social policy, with particular focus on the relationship between social policy and inequality. It is essential that the successful candidate presents a research profile, in both experience to date and in future potential, which is at the forefront of the area of activity. They will demonstrate experience, achievement and outstanding academic potential also reflected in a growing personal teaching and supervisory portfolio. The successful candidate will be expected to play a full part in the collegial life of the Subject Group and the School. We are particularly interested in candidates with an interest in the relationship between social policy and inequality. While specialisation is open, we welcome applications from candidates who complement existing strengths in gender and/or labour market inequalities. The Social Policy group at the University of Edinburgh is committed to comparative and cross-national research. The position is available on a full time (35 hours per week) open-ended basis.
