We are seeking a research assistant for the Nordic/Baltic research project: Gendered norms and practices in Nordic and Baltic Climate Policy Institutions: implication for the Climate Transition, led by Professor Annica Kronsell and funded by Nordforsk and the FORMAS research foundations. 

Responsibilities 

As research assistant, you will work with the research project. Your work will be based in Sweden and is connected to the project management team. Responsibilities are both practical and scientific.They include organizing, communicating, and administering the Nordic research consortium regarding meetings, conferences, and data collection. The scientific tasks involve assisting with various Nordic and Baltic case studies within the project. This includes gathering relevant climate policy documents, organizing and conducting interviews, and administering surveys. The work is carried out in close collaboration with the project research group.  

Qualifications 

We are looking for a socially competent individual who is meticulous, structured, flexible and creative e.To succeed in this position, it is necessary that the applicant has the ability to work both independently and in collaboration with an interdisciplinary, international research group. Experience with organization, communication, and administration is required. 

Applicants must have a master degree in one or more of the following areas: climate, gender studies, environmental and sustainability studies, political science, policy studies, comparative politics, organizational or administrative studies. It is required thatapplicants have experience in research methods such as text analysis, case studies, interviews and/or survey studies. 

The applicant must have advanced knowledge of speaking and writing in English and Swedish. Additional knowledge of another Nordic or Baltic language is valued. 

Employment 

The position is a fixed-term employment at a 100% workload for 12 months. Placement is at the School of Global Studies.The starting date is December 2025.
