Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref. 500034) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Social, Behavioral Sciences (e.g., sociology, economy, public health, psychology, or social work), Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline with two years’ post-qualification experience; or a Master’s degree in the aforementioned disciplines with one year’s post-qualification experience. Those with experience in research and data analysis would have advantage. They should have experiences in programming languages such as Stata, Mplus, R, or SPSS; have adequate knowledge of quantitative research methods and interpretation skills for the results; ability to work independently, and a good command of written and spoken English. Those with expertise in health/economic or aging research, especially in handling large and panel datasets, are preferred.

The appointee will work on projects on social, economic, and health issues using longitudinal and country-specific secondary data sets (e.g., data from US, Korea, China).
