The School of Global Studies is seeking a full-time researcher for a 12-month position in the CLIMIG research program—A New Interdisciplinary Framework for Studying the Relationship Between Climate Change and Migration. About the Project CLIMIG is an interdisciplinary research program that examines how climate change interacts with social, cultural, economic, political, and ecological factors that influence migration. The program focuses on three mountainous regions that are particularly vulnerable to climate change: the Ethiopian Highlands, the Andes in Peru, and the Himalayas in Nepal. By combining qualitative and quantitative methods and integrating climate, migration, and socioeconomic data, the project aims to develop a new analytical framework for the study of climate-related migration. The work is carried out in close collaboration with other researchers and international partners within CLIMIG. Qualifications This position requires a Ph.D. in human geography, development studies, migration studies, social anthropology, or another field that the employer deems relevant to the project. You must have documented experience in research on climate-related migration or related issues, as well as strong expertise in quantitative social science methods and statistical analysis, and in qualitative data collection and analysis.
