The Opportunity

Keen to be part of a dynamic in-house team? 

We are delighted to announce a range of positions now available for lawyers in the Office of the General Counsel (OGC) at Monash University. 

Monash is one of the world’s leading universities and has been consistently rising through the University Rankings, delivering excellence in both research and education. 

Due to the University’s ongoing success and progress, the OGC is recruiting lawyers in the following streams to support Monash activities: 

Research & Education: supports the University’s cutting-edge research, with a focus on major domestic & international research projects and collaborations, significant clinical trials, protection of critical University IP, and engagement with industry.

Commercial & Property: supports the University’s critical infrastructure in terms of property and construction, significant commercial transactions, and IT procurement initiatives.

Corporate & Commercialisation: manages significant corporate matters for Monash, as well as commercialisation work with a focus on spin-outs, inter-institutional agreements and complex work originating from the University’s Innovation and Enterprise units. 

Disputes & Regulatory Law: manages litigation and dispute matters, investigations, IBAC/Whistleblower matters, FOI support and student-related concerns, as well as regulatory matters for the University.
