About the position

The Department of Social Work (ISA) is one of the larger social science departments in Norway. The institute has approx. 60 employees and more than 700 students. The Department's bachelor programs are among the most searched in the country. The department has a large and varied academic environment with broad competence within social work, child welfare and disability and society. In addition to teaching, research takes place within a wide range of social and welfare issues. The research communities cooperate with other researchers both nationally and internationally.

 

ISA is part of the Faculty of Social and Educational Sciences.

 

ISA's work aims to strengthen its competence in health, social and child welfare law, administrative law, legal method and application of law, on the basis that our students need basic legal competence in their professional practice. We therefore announce a permanent position as a senior lecturer in jurisprudence.

 

The position reports to the head of department Riina Kiik.

 

Responsibilities

responsibility for teaching within legal topics primarily on the bachelor programs social work and child welfare. Law education can also be imposed on other education programs.

Exam work / censorship

responsibility for participation in professional development and further development of teaching programs according to the current curriculum, including on bachelor programs, and continuing education

supervision of students on bachelor programs

the person employed must abide by the decisions on changes that the development in the subject entails, as well as organizational changes. As other employees, the person who is expected to have administrative duties, as well as his / her professional responsibility, must work with the other academic staff of the unit.

 

eligibility Requirements

The position as a senior lecturer is required to obtain a master's degree or equivalent in jurisprudence or a law degree, preferably with specialization in one or more welfare law subjects, including social law, child law, education law, health law and social security.

 

It is desirable that the person employed has experience with teaching from higher education or other form of oral academic communication, for example through procedural experience. In addition, experience from work related to social law or child welfare law issues is desirable.

 

It is assumed that the person who is employed has good skills in Norwegian.

 

In the recruitment process, both interview and trial teaching will be used.                                                                               

 

Relevant practical pedagogical competence based on education or teaching and supervision must be documented. If this cannot be documented, the person who is appointed is required to complete an approved course in university education within two years after employment. NTNU offers qualifying courses.

Salaries and terms

The position as senior lecturer code 1009 is normally paid from gross NOK 480,600 - 683,200 per year. years depending on qualifications and seniority. From salaries, 2% of statutory deposits are withdrawn from the Government Pension Fund. 

 

The employment is carried out in accordance with the principles of the State Employees Act, and legislation regulating the export of knowledge, technology and services. After hiring, you must expect changes to the work area.
