The KU LEUVEN Centre for IT & IP Law (CiTiP) is a research unit of the Faculty of Law. The Centre is affiliated to imec (research group on security & privacy) and a member of both the Leuven Centre on ICT (LICT) and Leuven.AI. CiTiP has over thirty years of experience in conducting research into the legal and ethical aspects of innovative technologies in both the public and private sectors. The Centre currently consists of over eighty researchers involved in interdisciplinary projects funded by programs such as H2020, Marie Curie, FWO and ICON as well as through bilateral contracts. ResponsibilitiesThe ongoing digitization and increasing automation transform society and human practices in many ways. These transformations challenge existing legal and regulatory frameworks and require appropriate governance. The selected research fellow will work on research projects related to such transformations in different domains, such as healthcare / health research, employment, and critical infrastructures. The research position involves the following tasks:
ProfileCandidates will hold a master’s degree in law and a doctorate. They will have solid knowledge of European law. Familiarity with philosophical ethics or with science and technology studies will be considered as an important asset. Offer
